A tasty blend of Filipino flavors and American breakfast, this Filipino-style tocino breakfast sliders recipe is perfect for brunch for a crowd!
Tocino is a Filipino cured and marinated pork that's sweet and savory, often with an iconic red color from annatto or food coloring. This homemade version doesn't have the bright red color, but still packs all of the flavor you expect thanks to ingredients like Lee Kum Kee Panda Brand Oyster Sauce and Premium Soy Sauce. These are essential to tocino and what bring out the mouthwatering flavor its known for.
For these sliders, there's also a flavor-packed 2 ingredient sauce, made with Lee Kum Kee Sriracha Mayo and Chiu Chow Chili Crisp Oil. These together combine for spicy, savory, and garlicky flavors that pair perfectly with the tocino, eggs, cheese, and sweet Hawaiian rolls.
Combine brown sugar, Lee Kum Kee Panda Brand Oyster Flavored Sauce, Lee Kum Kee Premium Soy Sauce, Lee Kum Kee Seasoned Rice Vinegar, pineapple juice, and annatto; toss pork in the mixture and marinate at least 1 hour (overnight is best).
Cook the marinated pork in a skillet over medium heat until caramelized, glossy, and lightly sticky.
Mix Lee Kum Kee Sriracha Mayo and Chiu Chow Style Chili Crisp Oil to make a chili crisp spicy mayo.
Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half (keeping them connected), spread chili-crisp spicy mayo, and layer scrambled eggs, tocino, and cheddar cheese; place the top buns back on.
Brush with melted butter, sprinkle everything bagel seasoning, and bake at 350°F for 10–12 minutes until golden and melty.
