Sweet, sticky, spicy, and full of flavor, these sweet chili chicken skewers are packed full of flavor but couldn't be easier to make!

The simplicity comes down to the glaze that's brushed on the chicken skewers as they grill. At the core of the sweet and spicy sauce is a mixture of Lee Kum Kee Chili Crisp Hot Honey and Lee Kum Kee Hoisin Sauce. Together, they deliver a blend of savory, earthy, sweet, and spicy that adds extra depth beyond the standard sweet chili sauce.

These skewers are ready in just over 30 minutes and great for a simple summer barbecue, especially with rice, slaw, or grilled veggies on the side.

How to make it

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together Lee Kum Kee Hoisin Sauce, Lee Kum Kee Chili Crisp Hot Honey, Lee Kum Kee Seasoned Rice Vinegar, Lee Kum Kee Premium Soy Sauce, Lee Kum Kee Minced Garlic, and Lee Kum Kee Minced Ginger.

  2. Reserve ⅓ cup of the glaze for serving. Add the chicken to the remaining glaze and toss to coat. Let marinate for 15 minutes.

  3. Thread the chicken onto skewers. Grill over medium-high heat or cook on a grill pan for 10 to 12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through.

  4. During the last 2 minutes of cooking, brush the skewers with the reserved glaze.

  5. Transfer to a serving platter and garnish with green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
