Looking for a fun cooking project for Valentine's Day? Give this heart-shaped musubi recipe a try!
Spam musubi is a tasty handheld favorite, perfect for easy DIY cooking or to take on a picnic or outdoor date idea. They're also simple enough that anyone can make at home, and pack a ton of flavor thanks to the glaze made with Lee Kum Kee Panda Brand Oyster Sauce and Premium Soy Sauce for umami.
For a spicy and creamy dip to add on, Lee Kum Kee Sriracha Mayo is perfect to take on the go as well!
Remove the Spam from the can and slice into ½-inch thick pieces.
Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to punch out heart Spam pieces. (Save scraps for fried rice later!)
Press a small handful of the seasoned rice into the same heart-shaped cookie cutter to create matching rice hearts. Repeat until you have one rice heart for each Spam heart.
Assemble the musubi: Place a glazed Spam heart over a rice heart. Wrap a thin strip of nori around the center to hold them together. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and serve with Lee Kum Kee Sriracha Mayo for dipping.
