Make this Halloween Tuna Onigiri Recipe and you'll be the talk of any Halloween party you go to. The key is to have fun playing around with the nori to make little faces on each of the rice balls.

 

Onigiri can have a variety of different fillings, for this spicy Halloween version, we went for a spicy tuna mix, seasoned with Lee Kum Kee Premium Soy Sauce and spiced up with our Sriracha Mayo. It's the perfect combo of spicy and savory if you need a break from all of the Halloween sweets!

How to make it

  1. Cook sticky rice according to package instructions. Once cooked, in a medium bowl, drizzle the rice with sushi vinegar; mix gently with a fork and let cool.
  2. Drain the tuna. In a bowl, mix the tuna, cream cheese, Lee Kum Kee Premium Soy Sauce, Lee Kum Kee Sriracha Mayo and chives.
  3. Prepare a container with 1 tablespoon of sushi vinegar and 8 oz of water. Take a good tablespoon of rice with your hands moistened in the water/vinegar mixture. Shape a pancake in the palm of your hand, then place a teaspoon of tuna stuffing in the center. Close the rice over the stuffing to wrap it and shape a triangular onigiri. Repeat the operation until the ingredients are used up.
  4. Cut out small triangles to form the eyes and the nose, strips for the mouth from the nori sheet. Place them on the onigiris, pressing gently.
  5. Serve and enjoy! Muahahahahahaha!
