Using crispy rice as the base to flavorful sushi fusion creations has become extremely popular, and this crispy rice sushi waffle recipe transforms the experience from sushi restaurant appetizer to easy at-home dinner.


The key is packing a ton of flavor into the tuna that sits atop the crispy rice. With the addition of Lee Kum Kee Sriracha Mayo and Hoisin Sauce, you get a balance umami, sweet, and spicy that takes mere minutes while you turn your leftover sushi rice into crispy waffles. The result is a trendy meal that couldn't be simpler to make!

How to make it

  1. Combine the tuna, Lee Kum Kee Sriracha Mayo, and Lee Kum Kee Hoisin Sauce. Refrigerate until ready to use. 
  2. Heat waffle maker and brush Lee Kum Kee Pure Sesame Oil so the entire grill is coated (both sides). Add the rice to the waffle maker and cook until crispy, about 10 minutes. 
  3. Build the sushi waffle: to the waffle, add avocado, cucumber, scoop on the spicy tuna and drizzle with more Lee Kum Kee Sriracha Mayo. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds and enjoy!
