A slow cooker recipe that gives barbecue flavors with ease, these pulled pork sliders are perfect for a simple set-and-forget meal and are packed full of flavor thanks to a spicy smoky bbq sauce!

Pork shoulder is one of the perfect meats to cook in a slow cooker. The meat slowly breaks down and turns tender as it slow cooks, ensuring every bite is unctuous and tender throughout. It's great for adding to these pulled pork sliders, especially when you add the smoky and spicy kick of Lee Kum Kee Smoky BBQ Flavored Sriracha Sauce. It adds all the smoky, sweet, and spicy flavor you're craving in a barbecue recipe, but keeps it simple for tasty home cooking. There's just 15 minutes of active time in this recipe, meaning you can get this started in the morning, get other tasks done through the day, and come back to the pulled pork to shred it and build the sliders.

You can also turn this recipe into a pulled pork plate with coleslaw, or serve it as the centerpiece for gameday, surrounded by a bunch of sides. It's all up to you and how you want to eat this pulled pork!

How to make it

  1. Season the pork shoulder with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Place in a slow cooker. Pour Lee Kum Kee Smoky BBQ Flavored Sriracha Sauce and chicken broth over the pork. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or until the pork is fork-tender.
  2. Once fork-tender, shred the pork apart with two forks or tongs. Mix with the cooking sauce until fully incorporated.

Pro Tip: To prevent scratching your slow cooker, its best to shred in a separate bowl and then return the pork to the slow cooker to mix with the sauce.

  3. Lightly toast the slider buns if desired. Fill each bun with the pulled pork and top with coleslaw. Drizzle with additional Lee Kum Kee Smoky BBQ Flavored Sriracha Sauce, garnish with green onions, and serve immediately.
