The perfect pairing to go alongside Chef Tue Nguyen’s (@twaydabae) viral easy fried rice recipe is her honey glazed shrimp recipe.
Crispy, sweet, and spicy thanks to a kick of Lee Kum Kee Sriracha Chili Sauce, these shrimp are incredibly addictive and delicious. All you need to do is fry the shrimp, cook the glaze, and toss everything together for a super easy and tasty meal!

Pat the shrimp dry, then coat in beaten egg white. Transfer to cornstarch seasoned to taste with salt and pepper, and ensure each shrimp is fully coated.
Add avocado oil to a large pan on medium-high heat. Shallow fry the shrimp for 30 seconds on each side, just enough to color each side without fully cooking the shrimp. This will make sure it stays tender and doesn’t overcook when it is glazed. Remove shrimp from frying pan and drain. Also remove all except 1 tablespoon of the avocado oil, reserving to use for the glaze.
Lower the pan to medium heat. Combine all of the ingredients for the glaze and mix well. Add to the pan with the remaining avocado oil and cook down until a thick glaze is formed, about 3-4 minutes.
Add the shrimp into the glaze and toss until fully coated, about 30 seconds to a minute. This should also fully cook the shrimp.
Transfer to a serving plate and enjoy! We highly recommend enjoying this with Chef Tue’s easy fried rice recipe.
