A grilled cheese Christmas tree sandwich is the perfect way to get festive this year with a few simple ingredients and a no-fuss quick recipe guide. There's a little extra heat packed in from Lee Kum Kee Sriracha Mayo to get the flavor covered, and then this sandwich all comes down to presentation.

There's quite a few options to go with here, but the main gist of this grilled cheese Christmas tree is to start with "snow", then add decorations in the form of veggie toppings to your liking. Check out below for our favorite example!

How to make it

  1. Spread Lee Kum Kee Sriracha Mayo on one side of each bread slice.
  2. Place 2 slices of cheese between two slices of bread, with the Sriracha Mayo side facing the cheese.
  3. Use the Christmas tree cookie cutter to cut out tree shapes from the assembled sandwiches.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Melt butter. Cook the sandwiches for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cheese is melted. Optional: Sprinkle grated Parmesan on the bread before grilling for extra flavor.
  5. After grilling, let the sandwiches cool slightly. Use sour cream or cream cheese as "snow" on the bottom of each tree. Decorate with finely chopped green and red bell peppers as ornaments, sliced black olives, and cherry tomato halves as toppers. Enjoy your festive, grilled cheese Christmas trees!
