Chef Tue Nguyen (@twaydabae) made waves on TikTok with her Chinese sausage fried rice recipe, and it’s now become one of the most popular ways to do an easy fried rice recipe!

 

What started as cooking videos during the pandemic has allowed Chef Tue to follow her culinary dreams, even opening her own restaurant, ĐiĐi, in West Hollywood, California. There’s a lot of history behind this flavorful fried rice, which is great for a quick meal and can be used with any leftover veggies or protein you have in the kitchen. It’s the mix of fish sauce, Lee Kum Kee Sriracha Chili Sauce and Premium Soy Sauce that make it special.

How to make it

  1. Add the diced Chinese sausage to a frying pan or wok on medium heat. Cooked for 2-3 minutes to let the fat render.

  2. Add the diced white and green onions and toss to combine until the onions soften and start to turn translucent, about 1-2 minutes.

  3. Beat the eggs and add a teaspoon of fish sauce to season. Move the Chinese sausage and veggies to one half of the pan and scramble the eggs in the other half. Add your day old white rice and stir everything together to combine.

  4. Season with an equal blend of Lee Kum Kee Premium Soy Sauce and Sriracha Chili Sauce before serving. You can mix together 2 Tbsp. of each and then add to taste, saving any extra for future fried rice recipes. Enjoy!
