Transform your frozen dumplings with this simple butter chicken dumplings recipe, made with tomatoes, Indian spices, and Lee Kum Kee chili crisp oil.

 

You can use any frozen chicken dumpling you have in your freezer to make this recipe, or even use fresh handmade dumplings. The key here is to get playful in the kitchen and combine these dumplings with a creamy and spicy tomato-based Makhani sauce. With butter as a base, the sauce carries complex spices and flavors beautifully, making it the perfect canvas for a layer of dumplings and Lee Kum Kee Chiu Chow Style Chili Crisp Oil.

How to make it

  1. Steam the frozen chicken soup dumplings (or other chicken dumplings) according to package instructions (usually 10–12 minutes).
  2. Sauté onion in butter over medium heat until soft, about 3 minutes. 

  3. Add Lee Kum Kee Minced GarlicLee Kum Kee Minced Ginger, tomato paste, Lee Kum Kee Chili Garlic Sauce, and Lee Kum Kee Chiu Chow  Chili Crisp Oil. Cook 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Stir in garam masala, tomato purée, and a pinch of salt. Simmer for 5 minutes, then add heavy cream and kasuri methi and stir until smooth.
  5. Serve dumplings in a shallow bowl over the warm sauce. Drizzle with additional Lee Kum Kee Chiu Chow Style Chili Crisp Oil and garnish with fresh cilantro.
