It takes less than 30 minutes to create this easy arayes recipe packed with tons of flavor.

 

Arayes are stuffed pitas native to countries including Lebanon and are typically filled with a ground meat mixture that has tons of herbs and spices packed in for a world of flavor. This version takes all of those ingredients and amps it up with two twists: Lee Kum Kee Panda Brand Oyster Sauce to bring out the umami of the meat, and Sriracha Mayo to spice up the yogurt dipping sauce.

How to make it

  1. In a bowl, mix ground meat, onion, parsley, Lee Kum Kee Minced Garlic, Lee Kum Kee Panda Oyster Sauce, allspice, cumin, pepper and 1 Tbsp olive oil together until well combined.
  2. Cut pitas in half and gently open the pockets. Evenly spread the seasoned meat inside each pita half and fill to about a half inch thick.
  3. Brush each pita with olive oil. Heat a grill pan over medium heat and grill for 4-5 minutes per side, pressing gently, until crispy and cooked through.
  4. In a small bowl, mix Greek yogurt, Lee Kum Kee Sriracha Mayo, and lemon juice until smooth.
  5. Serve the arayes with the spicy yogurt sauce for dipping and enjoy!
