A Turkish eggs recipe packing loads of flavor into every bite, you have to try Çılbır to experience the flavors for yourself!

 

This dish is simple in process and takes just 20 minutes from start to finish, and it packs tons of flavor and texture in the process. Çılbır consists of a base of a strong, tangy yogurt, like Greek yogurt, paired with a punch of Lee Kum Kee Minced Garlic. The seasoned yogurt mixture is then topped with poached eggs, Lee Kum Kee Chiu Chow Style Chili Crisp Oil for crunch and heat, and fresh herbs like dill or parsley to bring the dish to life. The Chiu Chow Chili Crisp Oil takes the place of Aleppo pepper and olive oil in this version, adding umami, complex garlicky heat, and additional crispy textures to the Turkish Eggs recipe.

How to make it

  1. In a bowl, stir together the Greek yogurt, Lee Kum Kee Minced Garlic, and salt until smooth. Spread the yogurt onto a wide serving plate and set aside.
  2. Bring a saucepan of water to a gentle simmer. Add the olive oil, then crack in the eggs and poach for about 3 minutes until the whites are set but the yolks remain soft. If using eggs straight from the fridge, they may need an additional 30 seconds.
  3. Lift the poached eggs from the water with a slotted spoon and place them over the yogurt. Spoon Lee Kum Kee Chiu Chow Style Chili Crisp Oil over the eggs. Finish with dill or parsley and serve with toasted bread for dipping.
