Don’t be fooled by the long cook time for this hoisin pork ribs recipe. It uses a slow cooker, so you’ll need to put in very little work to have this turn out amazing.

 

As long as you follow the recipe, your hoisin pork ribs will be tender enough to pull away by hand or with a fork. The Lee Kum Kee Sriracha Chili Sauce adds a touch of heat to every bite. Meanwhile, the honey and the Lee Kum Kee Hoisin Sauce lend sweetness to the dish without overpowering its savory goodness.

Using a slow cooker means that once you’ve started the first step—mixing the marinade and cooking it with the meat in the slow cooker—you can even leave the house to do errands or work. Then come back six hours later to sauce up, broil, and serve up, and voila! You get tender, delicious hoisin ribs from the slow cooker with minimum effort.

How to make it

  1. Combine all marinade ingredients including Lee Kum Kee Hoisin SauceLee Kum Kee Sriracha Sauce, and Lee Kum Kee Panda Cooking Soy Sauce. Marinate the ribs in a slow cooker, then cook for 6 hours on low heat. Reserve 1 cup cooking liquid after cooking.

  2. Preheat broiler and line a rimmed baking sheet with foil.
  3. Transfer ribs from the slow cooker onto the baking sheet. Add the reserved liquid and 1/2 cup Lee Kum Kee Hoisin Sauce to the ketchup and mix.
  4. Brush this mixture over the ribs and broil bone side down for 3-5 minutes.
  5. Remove ribs and slice them between the bones as desired. Garnish with sesame seeds and scallions and serve.
