Shrimp Po'boy Sandwich

How to make it

  1. Heat a medium sized saucepan on medium to high heat. Fill up halfway with vegetable oil and let heat. 
  2. Mix together the cornmeal, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, salt and pepper.

  3. In a separate bowl, mix the buttermilk with the whole egg and set aside. 
  4. Dip the shrimp into the buttermilk followed by the flour mix then into the hot oil to fry. Do this with a handful of shrimp at a time. Fry them for 3-4 minutes each batch, then remove and place onto paper towels to cool and drain. Repeat until all shrimp has been fried. 
  5. In a bowl, make the sauce mix by adding the mayo, Lee Kum Kee Minced Garlic, lemon juice, Lee Kum Kee Panda Brand Oyster Flavored Sauce, dijon mustard, sweet relish, chopped scallion, Worcestershire sauce and creole seasoning. Whisk well and then begin to make the sandwiches. 
  6. Take a french roll and spread the sauce mix on followed by lettuce, tomato and top with the fried shrimp. Top off with a little more sauce as desired. You should be able to make 3 or 4 sandwiches. Serve right away while nice and hot, with a side of oyster flavored sauce.
