We're taking the viral pesto grilled cheese sandwich recipe to the next level with a creamy spinach and artichoke filling for a rich and creamy flavor experience.

With herbaceous pesto on the outside and gooey spinach artichoke dip on the inside, all you need is a secret ingredient to bring everything together. For us, that's Lee Kum Kee Panda Brand Oyster Sauce. Its sweet umami adds extra depth to the grilled cheese sandwich and is a great way to get started using oyster sauce in your kitchen!

How to make it

  1. Spread both sides of each slice of bread with 1 Tbsp. of pesto sauce.
  2. Place spinach, artichokes, cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, Lee Kum Kee Panda Brand Oyster SauceLee Kum Kee Sriracha Chili Sauce, garlic powder, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Stir to combine well.
  3. Divide the spinach mixture among 4 bread slices, about 1/2 cup each. Top each with another slice of bread.
  4. Heat 1 1/2 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 2 sandwiches and cook until crispy and browned, about 3 minutes. Flip and continue cooking, adjusting heat as necessary, until the cheese has melted and the filling is hot, 2 to 3 minutes. Repeat with the remaining 1 1/2 tablespoons oil and 2 sandwiches. Serve immediately.
