Mushrooms and gruyere is an amazing flavor-packed combination, and these mushroom and gruyere mini toast bites bring out the best of both thanks to Lee Kum Kee Panda Oyster Sauce.

 

The umami in the oyster sauce enhances both the savory and umami characteristics of the mushrooms, plus the tangy creaminess from the gruyere cheese. Put all three together, and you've got a whirlwind of flavor in one single bite!

How to make it

  1. Preheat your oven to 375° Fahrenheit. Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and lightly toast in the oven for about 5 minutes, or until just crisp. Set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and start to brown, about 5-7 minutes. Add the Lee Kum Kee Minced Garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant. Stir in the Lee Kum Kee Panda Oyster Sauce. Mixing well to coat the mushrooms. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the mixture is well combined and heated through.
  3. Spoon a generous amount of the mushroom mixture onto each toasted baguette slice. Top with a sprinkle of shredded Gruyere cheese.
  4. Place the assembled toast bites back on the baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  5. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.
