Mala Sichuan Style Chicken Stew

How to make it

  2. Heat oil in a wok, add sliced ginger and garlic, cook until fragrant.
  3. Add chicken pieces (1 chicken, about 3 lbs) and stir fry the chicken over medium heat until golden brown (does not need to be fully cooked).
  4. Add the Spices Pack and stir fry the chicken for about 2 minutes until the flavor of the spices comes out.
  5. Add the first pouch of the Mala Sichuan Style Sauce for Chicken Stew, stir fry until well mixed. Pour 6 Tbsp. of water into the pot, cover with lid and simmer for 2 minutes.
  6. Add the second pouch of Mala Sichuan Style Sauce for Chicken Stew and the other ingredients (such as red onions, green and red peppers, etc.). Stir fry for about 1 minute. Add Extra Spicy Chili Powder to preferred spiciness, stir fry until cooked evenly. Add cilantro and serve.


    Tips: Add a splash of wine before adding the cilantro to heighten the aroma.
