How to make it

  2. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Heat the Lee Kum Kee Pure Sesame Oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onions, celery, Lee Kum Kee Minced Garlic, Lee Kum Kee Panda Brand Oyster Flavored Sauce, Lee Kum Kee Panda Brand Cooking Soy Sauce and Lee Kum Kee Sriracha Chili Sauce to the pan, and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes until softened. Add in ground beef and cook, breaking up until browned and cooked through. Set aside to cool.
  3. Roll out the chilled pie dough on a lightly floured surface. Cut as many pumpkin shaped pieces (with a 4-inch pumpkin cookie cutter) from the rolled-out pie dough as you can. Create faces on half of the pumpkin-shaped cutouts. You can use smaller circle and triangle cutters to cut eyes, and a sharp knife to cut out rough mouths.
  4. On an uncut piece of pumpkin shaped pie dough, place a few pieces of shredded mozzarella cheese. Then place a generous amount of the chilled beef filling over the cheese. Moisten the edges of the pie dough with the water, and then cover this pie dough with a face shaped pie dough piece. Press down the edges to seal. The face shaped pie dough should easily stretch over the filling. Use a fork to crimp the edges.
  5. Place the hand pie on a parchment paper lined baking tray, and repeat with all the pies, placing 1 inch apart to ensure even baking. When all the pies have been prepared, brush the top of the pies with the beaten egg. Transfer the hand pies to the oven, and bake for 20 - 30 minutes, until the pies are a golden brown. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve warm. Enjoy!
