If you’re looking for an easy salmon recipe packed with tons of flavor that can be on the table within minutes, look no further than this version glazed in a sweet and savory orange sauce.
This recipe gets creative by taking the same sauce you use for orange chicken, but applying to salmon, which also loves the unique blend of flavors orange sauce provides. By using Lee Kum Kee’s Panda Brand Sauce for Orange Chicken, you cut down on the guesswork and time needed to make this recipe as well, with dinner on the table in as little as 15 minutes with no more than just a few ingredients needed!
Wash rice thoroughly and add to rice cooker with 2 ½ to 3 cups of water, depending on the type of rice you are using. Cook thoroughly until steamed and tender.
Pat salmon dry and preheat the oil a large frying pan on medium heat. Season the salmon on the skin side and add to the pan, skin side down. Season the top side of the salmon and cook until 75% of the salmon changes color, about 5-6 minutes.
Flip the salmon over and add the Lee Kum Kee Panda Brand Sauce for Orange Chicken to the pan. Gently swirl the pan to coat the salmon in the sauce as it reduces for about 4-5 minutes.
Remove salmon from heat and pour the reduced sauce over the salmon. Garnish with green onion, sesame seeds, and orange slices, and serve with the steamed rice. Enjoy!
