Charcuterie Chips Recipe with Spicy Fig Jam

Charcuterie chips are an easy and trendy recipe that take a few simple ingredients: potato chips, your favorite charcuterie meats, cheese, and arugula. This version charcuterie chips recipe is enhanced with a spicy fig jam recipe that combines figs, hoisin, and honey sriracha to elevate this party platter to the next level.

 

The fig jam itself can be used beyond the charcuterie chips for all kinds of summer recipes. Great next to chicken or pork, it blends together sweetness, umami, heat, and fermented flavors together thanks to a blend of Lee Kum Kee Hoisin and  Lee Kum Kee Honey Sriracha Sauce that add depth and layers of complexity throughout the fig jam. Add that to the chips, cured meats, fresh arugula, and creamy cheese, and you've got a charcuterie party platter that is sweet, spicy, crunchy, rich, and cheesy all at once.

 

Pro Tip: Make the fig jam a couple of hours in advance so it has time to cool, and then the charcuterie chips will just take 15 minutes to make!

How to make it

  1. In a medium saucepan, add the figs, Lee Kum Kee Honey SrirachaLee Kum Kee Hoisin Sauce, sugar, lemon juice and water.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Reduce to a simmer and cook for 15-20 minutes, mashing the figs gently as they soften.
  3. Once the mixture has thickened, remove from heat and allow to cool. Store in clean jars and refrigerate until use.
  4. Arrange chips on a baking tray. Distribute cured meats and cheese evenly across the chips. Broil for 3–4 minutes, watching closely, until the cheese melts and meats crisp.
  5. Top with dollops of spicy fig jam, then drizzle generously with balsamic glaze. Scatter fresh arugula over the top and serve immediately.
