It takes less than ten ingredients to make this easy Cajun Sausage Puffs recipe come to life, and that's including the simple spicy mustard served on the side for dipping. 

 

These are simple to make and packed with tons of flavor from Cajun sausage, cheese, and the kick from Lee Kum Kee Sriracha Chili Sauce in the spicy mustard. It gives a balance of heat and flavor that will make these sausage puffs a crowd pleaser at any gathering. Make sure to bake extra for yourself!

How to make it

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F. 
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut it into small squares, about 2 inches each. Place a slice of Cajun sausage and a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese in the center of each puff pastry square. Fold the corners of each pastry square over the filling to form a puff shape, or you can fold them into triangles or rectangles.
  3. Place the prepared puffs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with the beaten egg to help them brown. Sprinkle them with paprika, garlic powder, and dried oregano.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and puffed.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the Whole Grain Dijon mustard, Lee Kum Kee Sriracha Chili Sauce, and honey (if using). Serve the warm Cajun sausage puffs with the spicy mustard dipping sauce and Enjoy!
