The Special Olympics organization has helped mentally and physically challenged individuals attain their personal best in the athletics for over 30 years. The organization has inspired greatness in thousands of challenged athletes who today are better off because of Special Olympics. Every year Special Olympics of Southern California holds a fund raising event in the Los Angeles area which draws national recognition with the support of multinational companies and celebrities from around the world. This year Lee Kum Kee acted as one of the prestigious Special Olympic event sponsors. Lee Kum Kee was invited by event organizer Mrs. Ivy Chu, owner of the Crystal Park Casino in Los Angeles, who insisted that Lee Kum Kee share their wonderful sauces with the best restaurants in Los Angeles. Lee Kum Kee donated gift bags filled with a variety of sauces to the top 50 restaurants in the Los Angeles area. The restaurants supported the fund raiser by serving free food to all who attended. The event raised thousands of dollars to support the athletes of today and tomorrow.
